■Characteristics：
A white or pale cream powder; hygroscopic.
The powder is irritant to nasal membranes.
Soluble in 6 parts of water and in 30 parts of ethanol (96 per cent).
Practically insoluble in chloroform and in ether.

■Efficacy and Effect：
Consists of a sodium salt of 18ß-glycyrrhizic-acid succinic-acid esters. Highly effective for gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers when orally administered. As does 18ß-glycyrrhizic acid, the product has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects when applied externally.
