We have new findings regarding our proprietary ingredient “VENETRON®“, which is a powdered extract from dried leaves of Rafuma (Apocynum venetum). Recent clinical trial conducted on healthy women have provided compelling evidence that the consumption of “VENETRON®” effectively relieves general discomfort associated with menstruation. Going forward on the application for “Foods with Function Claims” label in Japan, plan has been made to conduct further in-depth analysis, along with the submission of a research paper on the newly obtained evidence.

Currently, with regard to the efficacy in “improving sleep quality (depth of sleep and satisfaction upon waking),” a total of 87 products incorporated with “VENETRON®” have been approved with the label “Foods with Function Claims” in Japan (as of May 2023). Building upon the positive outcomes of this clinical trial, Tokiwa planned to further strengthen its proposal of “VENETRON®” as a female care ingredient.
